Birthday Love....

If there's one thing I love more than my own birthday, it's other people's!!! We had so much fun celebrating Matty's b-day this past weekend. The bowling party was an absolute blast for everyone. It's always so much fun to spread the Birthday love throughout the year!!!

New Year's Resolution.... Just say NO!

Hello, my name is Kendra Lee Dwyer, and I am a please-a-holic.

Wow... that felt good! My resolution for 2011 is to commit to less, say no a little bit more often, and avoid over-extending myself. I know this will allow me to have more "me-time" and that will be a great thing for all. As much as I love doing things for other people, I am really going to work on focusing on the things and people in life that are the most important to me.

Amen sister!

Sitting, Waiting, Watching....

It's been a splendid three years that I've called A133 my home away from home (A133 is my office at the Convention Center, I've never really understood it either, but that's what it says on my key so I've always just rolled with it). Before I delve into this I want to preface with a plea to not find me a complete brat, and know that I am very grateful for my job and everything that comes along with it, including all of the amazing people that I work with, with that being said.... let's start the bashing session! Just kidding, it really won't be that harsh, I promise.

While it's been a splendid three years... there is a part of me that is toying with the idea that it might be time to move on. I am very comfortable at my job, it comes very naturally to me, but I feel myself starting to get... bored. I always thought I'd work here forever, move up and eventually run the place, but now I'm starting to understand why my position has a 2 year shelf life. The fact that there is no turnover in the Sales Management positions is a wonderful thing, but it also means... no room for growth for moi.

I feel that I have been an incredibly productive salesperson... I'm not tooting my own horn, the numbers speak for themselves! I've been working on a promotion, but it's just not happening and I'm starting to get frustrated. So here it is... if I don't get what I deserve by Feb. 1st, I'm moving on.

Loyal as I am in my work-life, friendships and love-life, sometimes it's just time to pull the plug. As George Carlin once said, "The Status Quo Sucks."

Champagne Updates

It is a fine Saturday morning and I've had a few glasses of Champagne to get it started off right. Life is great. I have no complaints whatsoever. I'm not sure I have many updates to spill, but I feel I've neglected my beloved bloggy for a while now so I wanted to reconnect.
