It is indeed that time of year where I brush off my walking shoes, gather all the pink accessories I can find, and dawn my Tuff Titties Team gear to walk 60 miles to do my part in the fight against breast cancer. From Friday November 16th through Sunday November 18th I will be on a journey through San Diego, walking 20 miles each day with my teammates.
We walk because in 2011 in the US alone 230,480 women were newly diagnosed with Breast Cancer and 39,520 women died from Breast Cancer. This means that close to 300,000 families were affected by the news that they were about to begin the battle against Breast Cancer, or that it had won. Chances are you know someone that has been faced with this news. These facts are alarming and heartbreaking and this disease must be stopped.
This is my 3rd year participating in this life (and foot) changing event and I'd walk it 100 times over and have blisters covering the bottoms of both my feet if it meant that you and me both could finally be free from the fear of Breast Cancer. Your donation will fund research efforts to find a cure, and no matter who ends up in office they won't be able to tax you on a dime of it.
