The Apple Tree

A family friend sent me the quote below a long time ago. My brother played baseball with her two sons and I have known their family since I was just a little tater tot. She raised her boys to treat girls like special prizes, and taught them that the right ones are not the easiest to find and that although they require more work to win over, that the end result will always be worth it. I love that!
Yes, I've been on a bit of a "girl power" rant lately and in the back of my mind Dr. Suess is reminding me "those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter." So there. My reminder of the day would be that although your stay at the top of the tree might be a little longer than if you were "low hanging fruit", it will always be worth it to wait for someone who's willing to roll their sleeves up and make the climb. Until then; enjoy the view!
